It had been a long time! Oban was fun but following the severe constraints of COVID, we were hoping for a more expansive event in Krakow, welcoming those from both near and far. Well, Mr Putin put an end to that at a massive cost to us all not least our friends in Ukraine who continue to suffer hugely from a totally unprovoked incursion and with a massive resulting human cost.

Consequently, despite the valiant efforts of Rafael, Yogi and the Krakow team, the obstacles proved insurmountable due to the massive movement of refugees from Ukraine, only 80 miles from our planned venue. Let us hope that sense will prevail, and Ukraine can re-establish its territorial integrity and that we can visit and support that part of the world in the near future.
